When it comes to office coffee makers, the most important issues for the users are flexibility, taste and ease of use. Since everyone has different preferences, it is important to have a coffee machine that can make a range of drinks: black coffee, latte, cappuccino, flavored coffee drinks etc. There should also be an option to make tea to cater for workers who do not drink coffee. Most popular office coffee makers are single serve coffee stations that make hot, fresh coffee straight into a coffee mug. Individual coffee and beverage packets provide a variety of beverage flavors that can meet the needs of any coffee or tea drinker. What makes these units so popular is the ease of use, convenience, and the distinct advantage of no messy cleanup. Plus, you can get a hot steamy cup of joe anytime on demand! No bitter coffee that has been sitting in the pot for hours and doesn’t even taste like coffee anymore. User reviews of these models indicate that users love the variety and the ease of use. The disadvantage of these units however is cost. The refills tend to be a lot more expensive than cartridge refills for 10 or 12 cup units. Varieties must also be purchased in bulk so offering a very large variety can get expensive. Another option is an office coffee service offered by some of the major chains like Peet’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, or Starbucks. With this type of service you will get freshly brewed coffee delivered to your office several times a day along with all the extras like creamers, sweeteners and napkins. Some vendors will also give you a lease on a complete high quality coffee brewing system. The coffee service is a very good solution for large offices. In general, it is probably not worth it if your office has less than 20 employees. On the more conservative side there are many thermal coffee makers available. Because the carafes are insulated and keep their temperature naturally instead of with a heating pad, the quality of coffee is far superior to the proverbial “glass coffee pot on a plate” variety. No matter whether you decide to opt for a company purchased coffee machine or for an coffee service, here are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for an office coffee maker:- Consider how many coffee drinkers will use the machine or service weekly. Are they willing to pitch in for more quality options, or does quality not matter too much?- Be sure that the coffee machine will be able to keep the coffee at a consistently hot temperature for long hours. No one has time to make new coffee every 20 minutes, so something that will last throughout the morning and afternoon hours will be important. – Find out what the coffee preferences are in your office. Maybe there are more who would pitch in if the machine provided cappuccino or latte options in addition to regularly brewed coffee. – Convenience is a must in a busy work environment. A coffee machine that will require tedious cleaning and upkeep maybe become the behemoth on the counter that never gets used. – How durable is the machine? If it’s constantly breaking down or requires continual maintenance to keep it working, it may be more trouble than it’s worth. Get the best coffee maker or coffee service that you can afford. Providing good quality coffee in your office is a relatively cheap benefit that will be really appreciated by your employees.

It was not that long ago that coffee came out of a tin and required nothing but a pot of boiling water to activate its essential properties, but our world has changed and people these days value quality and complex flavors. Today’s consumers want to choose their own brand of coffee beans sourced from exotic places like The Bahamas or Kenya. More than that, today’s coffee enthusiasts want to experience the full measure of creating a perfect cup, from the grinding of our own beans to the heady aroma that comes from a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

There are literally thousands of coffee bars in the world, identifiable by their aroma and the types of coffees that are available. With many beverages such as the extravagant cappuccino or flavored coffees to the no frills, straight up filter coffee. What they all have in common is that each order is freshly brewed.

At Home

It may not be possible to recreate a fully stocked coffee bar in our home, but everyone may agree that a freshly brewed cup of coffee first thing in the morning is not a luxury anymore, for many of us it is essential. Most homes boast a coffee machine designed to brew freshly ground beans. These machines usually work by allowing a slow drip of hot water to pass through ground coffee beans into a pot below. It does not use pressure to force the water through and this often results in the coffee getting cold while we wait for the cycle to finish. Many people find that it is just too time consuming to make a cup of coffee in this manner.

Senseo Innovation

That is why a new breed of coffee making machine is rapidly gaining popularity;

one that uses pressure. Senseo manufactures this coffee machine and it provides much innovation to the market of home coffee brewing machines. The Senseo Gourmet Coffeemaker pushes pressurized water through a pre-packed coffee pod. These coffee pods are packed with just the right amount of coffee, which allows for the best possible result.

Senseo allows you to brew one or two cups of coffee at a time. Brewing your cup of coffee with the Senseo Coffeemaker can be completed in a few simple steps. First, fill the water tank, followed by opening the lid and placing in your coffee pod. The last step is to switch it on and watch how your Senseo Gourmet Coffeemaker allows just the right amount of pressure and just the right amount of water to flow through the pod. In two minutes, you can have a perfectly brewed, hot cup of filtered coffee to kick start your day. However, it gets better: because of the pressurized system that is used by the Senseo Gourmet Coffeemaker; your cup of coffee should have a thick foamy layer on top as well.

The Practicalities

Senseo coffee pods are mess-free and require no expensive filters; they also ensure you are not left with coffee grounds at the bottom of your cup. Whatever your taste in coffee, Senseo coffee pods covers them all. You can choose from mild roast, medium roast, and dark roast, even decaffeinated.

Senseo Gourmet Coffeemakers have a ‘SensAuto-off’ switch, which turns the machine off after an hour, so you do not have to worry about accidently leaving the Senseo on. They are designed with removable parts that are completely safe in the dishwasher. Senseo offer accessories such as replaceable water tanks that make your coffee experience even easier.

Senseo Options

Senseo Gourmet Coffeemakers come in a one-cup option as well as the basic 1-2 cup option, each offer the same incredible basic functions. Senseo has another option available called the Senseo Supreme. The Supreme offers many added features for your convenience.

While still allowing the 1-2 cup option, the Supreme allows more control over how much coffee can be brewed and you can change the amount per cup, great if you have different sized coffee cups, or mugs.

The spout is different too – adjustable so that you can accommodate taller cups. The water tank has increased in size so that you do not have to refill it that often. There is also an LED indicator, which keeps you informed on the water levels.

Another added feature allows you to enjoy frothed milk without all the fuss. The Supreme has an integrated milk container, which includes a feature that froths the milk. This offers luxurious foam on top of your coffee. There is also a cleaning button that is designed to remove all milk residues from the machine.

The Senseo Gourmet coffeemaker is a beautifully apportioned, sleek, and modern coffee machine that can grace any kitchen counter. They are available in different colors to suit most tastes and can become a conversation piece in your home.

There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning, stumbling to the kitchen and finding your favourite coffee brewed and waiting for you. Of all the drinks in the world, coffee seems to have universal appeal. But if you have ever travelled you quickly discovered that one person’s coffee can be quite different from another’s. A World Wide Business—Coffee Types Coffee is grown on five different continents and dozens of countries around the world. There are coffee plantations in Columbia and much of South America. There are hundreds of plantations in Africa. The growing region expands to the east and west including the West Indies, Sumatra, and Java. All of the coffee growing regions are in tropical zones within 30 degrees or so of the Equator. While all coffee grows in bean form, there are different types or varieties of coffee plants, hence the many different coffee types. Roasting and Brewing Although plant variety can affect the taste of coffee, the way it is handled following harvesting has a great deal to do with the flavour as well. Some coffee beans are naturally roasted. These generally produce the darker and bitterer tasting coffees. The sun does the roasting and then the grinding and brewing take care of the rest of the flavourful attributes. There are many different recipes for a great cup of coffee and variations on how they are served. The cooking methods require specific kitchen gadgetry to help make the best rated coffees. From Coffee Makers to Cappuccino and Espresso There are different types of cappuccino, espresso and coffee makers on the market. Each of these appliances is designed to make specific coffee types. Cappuccino is a rich, dark coffee whose recipe originated in Italy. It is a milder version of Espresso, but not as light as “city” coffee. Espresso is made by high heat and pressure which produces a thicker and more potent cup of coffee. This is usually served in much smaller cups and quantities because of how strong it is. Electric machines are making their way from the restaurant into many home kitchens. The cleaning and care including the job to decalcify are made easier by the popularity of stainless steel appliances. There are coffee makers also that do all of the jobs of creating the perfect mug of coffee right on your counter top and even while you sleep. The grind and brew combination machines are the ideal way to get the freshest cup of coffee possible. Decaf and coffee types that contain caffeine can be equally as appealing to the taste buds. An important fact to remember is that just because a coffee type taste strong, it does not necessarily contain more caffeine. On the other hand, a decaf cup of coffee will taste and smell just as good, but without the health concern of having too much caffeine. The process with all of the new recipes available at coffee shops, restaurants and even at home, it is possible for anyone to make the best rated coffee around. This includes caffeine and decaf varieties.

Buying coffee may not be that difficult if there are only two choices on the shelves. But what happens when you have more than ten kinds of coffee to choose from? A little difficult, yes, but still manageable. However, what happens when you have as many as 30 varieties lined up on the shelf, which coffee would you choose? A little bit crazy I bet. This, however, is the reality of things. In a coffee specialty shop you can find more than 30 different kinds of coffee, more brands that you have ever seen some of which you’ve never heard of and more unique flavors and combinations than any coffee shop could ever provide. Whenever you buy coffee you get to see a lot of French, Italian, Viennese, and Continental names on the packaging. Usually, these brands are made from darker coffees and don’t really mean that the beans themselves came from these regions. But instead of the location where they were planted and harvested, these coffee names are dependent on the actual length of time the beans were roasted. For example, Italian roasts are generally darker in color since they have been roasted longer than the Viennese coffee, and so on. If European names refer to the length of being roasted, non-European names refer to the origin of the coffee bean. So if you see a coffee named Mexican roast, then the beans came from Mexico. There are other names on coffee labels. One of the more exclusive ones is the Estate named brands. Estate labeled coffees are distinct in a way that the coffee has been grown, harvested and processed in a single farm or estate. Estate coffee growers pride themselves of having their coffees pure. They never mixed their own estate coffee varieties with other coffees the grew and were harvested in other regions. Probably, one of the most known and trusted estate grown coffee is the Wallensford Blue Mountain brand, which is grown exclusively in Jamaica. We’ve talked about names referring to roasts and place of origin, now let’s take a look at the various flavored coffee names. Generally, these kinds of coffees are less expensive but are really good nonetheless. Flavored coffee names are the ones that have the words crème, chocolate, vanilla, or any nut or fruit names attached to the word “coffee. ” Unlike most of the pure coffees which are roasted black, flavored coffees are roasted medium brown. The flavor themselves are added into the coffee in liquid form. Blends, on the other hand, are a mix of two or more coffees. The main consideration and certainly the key feature of blends is that the coffees that are mixed together should complement each other. The aroma, taste, and flavor should never be distinct but at the same time harmonious. Just like estate coffees, there are several well known house blends that have trusted coffee combinations. There are also various organic coffees and other commercial brand names that have their own distinct flavors. Just remember to choose calmly and don’t get overwhelmed by the number of varieties out there.

There is nothing that lifts the spirit and puts one in a pleasant and relaxed mood than the smell of freshly brewed coffee. This delicious beverage is enormously beneficial in the office not only because of its stimulating attributes, but the effect it has on the brain as well. Needless to say, the chances are that workers will become energized and potentially more productive. Most office workers simply love their coffee because it gives them the necessary lift to make it through the day. The effect of the coffee aroma on the average personOften the unique smell and aroma of coffee takes one back to pleasant times with family or friends; this can be a welcome break from stressful workloads or never ending office tasks. According to recent research done on the effect coffee has on the brain, it has been discovered that it definitely improves short term memory and speeds up your reaction time as well. In other words you can actually become more alert and productive by drinking coffee; this rumor is not completely untrue. The scent of coffee has such a powerful effect on the human brain that it is even being used in alarm clocks. The smell of fresh brewed coffee is definitely a lot more pleasant than having a buzzer or loud music go off in your ears. On weekdays the lovely smell can get you leaping out of bed and head straight for the coffeemaker, or, on weekends, make you roll over and continue having pleasant dreams of a scrumptious breakfast accompanied by your favorite coffee. Studies into the effects of coffee highlight the beneficial qualities of coffee. There are of course negative effects of drinking too much coffee, however a moderate amount of coffee consumption during a work day will most likely keep a person alert and productive. Those who drink more than a moderate amount open themselves up to risks such as accelerated heartbeat and anxiety. That being said, the one-cup-in-the-morning coffee drinker tends to lose steam in the latter part of the day while the 3-4 cup-a-day worker lasts till the end. It really depends on the specific person in question. A vast majority of workers agree on the fact that a good quality, warm brew is soothing and relaxing. Some feel that management is taking good care of them when the coffee service has been hired that provides good quality and affordable coffee. Office policies differ vastly and in many cases workers are allowed to have coffee anytime during the day and may even leave the office from time to time for a quick trip to the coffee shop. There are some companies that do not allow workers to leave the office during work hours, but they may enjoy a cup of coffee any time of day. The benefits of a coffee delivery service Time is of the essence in every business, as is money. However, not only can the employee save money by utilizing a coffee service, but the company also can benefit in the long run. Coffee drinkers drink coffee all day long, perhaps reaching 10 cups a day. All of this coffee drinking during the work day can slow production, especially if there is no coffee available in the office. Some research has shown that large amounts of coffee consumption can also lead to dehydration and loss of concentration. Nutritionists suggest that heavy drinkers should occasionally include fruit juices and water in their consumption to prevent this from happening. Too much caffeine can also be the cause of rising stress levels. This is according to research but like everything else no two people are affected in the same way. Other products and servicesCoffee services do not only specialize in coffee but in other beverages as well. The various types of coffees may include the hot brew that is either decaf or with hot milk. The cold varieties would be press iced coffee, iced latte or mocha. Espressos would include cappuccino, macchiato, mocha or latte. Obtaining a free quote from coffee delivery service providers is not difficult at all. The quote will include what type of services you require as well as the amount of people that will make use of the service. Other services like filtered or bottled water are also offered. Hot soup as well as hot chocolate and sandwiches are also on the menu of some service providers. Besides offering gourmet and organic coffees some companies also have a snack menu that can be ordered daily. Reliable and reputable service providers can save time and money when it comes to providing coffee to office staff members. An office coffee service will help to keep your workers focused, energized and comfortable, knowing that there will always be fresh-brewed coffee nearby to give them that extra boost.

Are you a coffee lover? I am. Maybe, as you read this article, you can relate to my experiences. I truly hope so. I write from my heart. What is written here is for every coffee drinker who loves the beverage, coffee.

My heritage takes me to Southern Minnesota. When I was growing up, I recall my Grandparents making egg coffee. Boiled on a wood burning stove, it could get very strong! The standing joke was “if a spoon wil not stand up in it, it is not strong enough. “. Towns were settled by nationalities. German, Swedish, Polish, Czech, Danish, English, Irish and all the other countries in that part of the world. The time of my youth was the late 40s and through the 50s. Fore the most part, coffee was the beverage of choice.

Coffee was consumed year round. In the summer, temps could soar to 100 degrees. Winter temps would drop well below zero.

Coffee was part of life. It has great social implications to it. When you were invited to a neighbors home for a cup of coffee, they were saying in so many unspoken words, “You are our friend and we cherish your friendship. We are honored to have you as a guest in our home, to share what is happening in your life and what is happening in ours. ”

Think about this. When someone asks you to join them for a cup of coffee, they are saying by this gesture, “you are important to me and I want to show you my gratitude for your presence by sharing a cup of coffee with me. ” It does not get any better then that when one human being feels a connection with another human being with this simple act of inviting them for a cup of coffee.

And this has been going on day after day for hundreds of years!

The social impact of sharing time with someone cannot be measured.

Coffee drinking and smoking cigarettes went hand in hand when I started at the age of 19. Very few people questioned the health risk of smoking and drinking excessive amounts of coffee. In the great movies of the day it was in vague to smoke. The movie stars were our role models. The crime movies and war movies always had the stars and supporting actors and actresses drinking coffee and smoking.

I stopped smoking after 20 years. The coffee has been my companion for over 50 years with no health problems. I attribute much of why I have had no health problems from coffee and caffeine is my attitude. I do not anaylyze how good or bad drinking coffee is. I simply enjoy the taste of the beverage. Moderation is the key to what we as humans should do in everything we do. 2 or 3 cups a day satisfies me.

To be alert at the controls of a large 18 wheeler requires the driver to be alert at all times. Coffee makes it much easier to stay alert. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, all branches of the military, commercial airline pilots to name a few crucial occupations were personnel must be alert when on duty.

During my life I managed Motor Inns. These businesses never close. At some point in a 24 hour period, the days business must be closed out. The slowest time in this hospitality business is after 11 PM. The person responsible for balancing the days business and closing out the day, is called the night auditor. After 30 years, the night auditor title may have changed. The duties are the same, I believe.

Managing a motel or hotel requires the manager, a good working manager such as I was, to tarin new night auditors. The auditor worked from 11 PM to 7 AM to balance the days business. Having a delicious cup of coffee periodically during the night was simply wonderful. It helped keep our heads clear so we could focus on the task at hand. I have the greatest respect for night auditors. Anyone working the 11 PM to 7 AM shift alone may want coffee to help pass the time. Coffee really helps.

My wife, children and I have spent many hours on our interstate system. We traveled from the midwest to the west and back. We traveled from Minnesota to southern Texas and back. From Chicago to Minneapolis and to Milwaukee. Vacation times called for loading up the thermos with coffee and heading out on the open road. Traveling the interstates gets rather boring.

The answer for me was a thermos of coffee. Driving, with a good tasting cup of coffee in hand, enjoying the scenery was very enjoyable for me.

We live in the most beautiful and interesting countries in the world. Stopping along the highway at rest stops to stretch and go to the rest room would end up as a social break. Exchanging tales with fellow travelers about where you were headed and they were going was a good time to enjoy a cup of coffee. Another great way to reach and socialize with people.

Coffee to me has always been a way of enjoying precious moments with people. I have read that coffee is not good for us. I have also read it is good for us. To offer an opinion is not my intent. I wrote this article from the heart to share with any one interested in reading these words of why I enjoy drinking coffee.

We live in a world where coffee machines are becoming more and more popular. Coffee makers are used to brew coffee without boiling water in a separate container. A coffee maker is an electric countertop appliance that brews hot coffee automatically. It consists of a hot plate, a carafe or glass coffee pot, filter basket, and water reservoir. Coffee makers have become a standard appliance for most households, put in the same category as the stove or the microwave oven, something that our society cannot live without.

Varieties of coffee makers have been introduced in the market from time to time. Some coffee makers use steel filters, others use paper filters. Expert. In 1972, Mr. Coffee introduced the first automatic drip-brew coffeemaker for home use. Because of their convenience, today drip coffeemakers are the most popular way of making coffee at home. A French press, is a coffee maker popularized by the French. If used correctly, French presses can make terrific, rich full flavored coffee, although stronger than other coffee makers. An espresso maker is used to produce espresso, the traditionally Italian coffee beverage.

Pod coffee makers are super convenient and make a terrific and consistent coffee. They are the perfect instant coffee makers. Coffee percolators once enjoyed great popularity is not the best way to make coffee anymore. The big problem with a percolator in the boiling water can cause over-extraction, creating a bitter taste. However, some people prefer the dark, strong taste of percolator coffee. Vacuum Coffee Makers are excessively complex for everyday use, but are known for creating a clear brew. One of the extraordinary coffee makers is the bunn High Altitude-optimized coffee maker.

BUNN coffee makers have unique brewing systems that produce high quality coffee in a short amount of time. The life span of coffee machines is very much dependent on how well we take care of it. Coffee machines that offer high quality drinks are gradually becoming more popular in the office/business market also, as consumers wish to drink similarly high quality drinks in their own workplace. Coffee makers now have clocks and timers that can be set the night before so that when the person wakes up in the morning the can get the fresh brewed coffee. This is a time saving device for those individuals who are always pressed for time. Having a coffee maker in the kitchen comfort people in their own homes, instead of visiting a coffee house.

There are different types of addiction, and as far as medical science is concerned, none of them are good. If you’re an addict, you can either be addicted to smoking, drinking or even using drugs. But what is addiction, really? The Merriam – Webster Dictionary defined addiction as the “persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be harmful”. Addiction is a clinical disorder. Shall we then consider the persistent and compulsive drinking of coffee an addiction? To all coffee lovers, rest assured that it is not an addiction, nor is it a clinical disorder, and it is not detrimental.

Today, coffee is one of the widely known and drank beverages in the world. In early societies, coffee was part of religious rites and ceremonies, making it sacred and its consumption limited to important people only. In the latter days, coffee even became part of political activities. At present, coffee is an important good widely exported throughout the world. It is actually counted as the seventh largest agricultural product, in value.

There is more to coffee that meets the eye, or rather the nose and the tongue. Before we are able to serve, inhale the aroma and drink it, where did the product come from? The beverage was actually a result of several processes. It is not as if the coffee we drink can just be picked from the tree. Coffee berries, contrary to what many think, actually tastes sweet when ripe. These berries are removed of their fleshy part and the beans are fermented. They are then washed to remove dirt and then dried. The next step is the roasting of the beans. This is an important step owing to the fact that how the coffee is roasted affects the taste when brewed. Short roasting time results in a bitter, stronger flavor and more aromatic essence.

Even in everyday life, coffee has been a part of most people’s lifestyle. Much like ancient times, coffee now serves like a personal religion. It is a part of the morning ritual in starting the day. Taking a sip of the warm exquisite drink heightens the mood and helps the person feel wide awake. Of course, we must give the credit to the essential ingredient of coffee which is caffeine. During social gatherings or business meetings, people tend to lighten up and ease the tension away with the help of the mere presence of coffee. It seems like a magical beverage! Even at simple friendly get-togethers, people talk “over a cup of coffee”.

Walk around the plaza and you won’t miss a coffee shop. Coffee is no longer a fad, but became a necessity for people all over the world! More and more people feel the need to utilize the wonderful flavor of coffee. It is not surprising, therefore, to find out that there are actually more than a hundred coffee combinations around the world. Among the hundred others, however, we have the top five most popular varieties: espresso, café latte, café mocha, cappuccino, and of course, the instant coffee.

Espresso is not a coffee combination, for it is actually the pure coffee, which is in fine powder form, subjected to hot (not boiling) water under high pressure. It has a thicker and denser liquid compared to the usual brewed coffee and it is measured in shots when served. It functions as a main component in coffee combinations.

Café latte literally means coffee with milk. Latte is the Italian word for milk, so if you order latte in an Italian coffee shop, you will most likely be served just a glass of milk and not the usual cafe latte you are expecting. This beverage is composed of one third part espresso and two thirds milk. It is served with a thick layer of foamed milk, usually a third or a fourth of an inch thick.

Café mocha is almost the same as café latte, only instead of the thick foamed milk, chocolate syrup or powder is added. Likewise, cappuccino is a combination much the same as café latte, only having a thinner layer of foamed milk on top.

But who would ever forget the most popular type of coffee served? Instant coffee is something that you would see in every two households out of three. No wonder coffee is one of the most popular drinks ever!
